Disclaimer:this is a review based on a digital listen.

This was the show that got me hooked. Spotify has this one complete show as of early 2025.

I had listened to their album cuts and was interested, but as with any Jam Band, the live recordings are the life blood.

I know it was a show with a lot of covers and that can be a detriment. But being a Halloween show, it made sense based on sown traditions in the jam community.  After listening, it crystallized for me that the band was serious about the music (and could sing and harmonize). As an aspiring guitarist, listening to where they took songs, I knew most of notes of, was a joyful and fascinating experience.  They took care to make the songs fairly true to their album cuts. Then, they took them apart to see what they could do really do!

And just to state this: covers are a great middle ground for a feeling out a new Jam band.  You get to listen to the band explore and show what they can do with familiar chords, and that is what Jam bands are all about! Once you know their songs, you know what they are playing with but until then, it helps to have that middle ground.
